The Pioneering of the DCC- QR Code in the Campus

On March 26, 2024, the DCC-CSSG SQUARED QR Code was officially launched through the Facebook page of the DCC-CSSG. With the introduction of the “CSSG SQUARED” DCC-QR Code, the DCC campus has advanced significantly in its adoption of technology. The DCC-CSSG innovated an idea that would create a seamless transaction for every student in DCC related to CSSG activities. This innovative project, spearheaded by the College Supreme Student Government, aims to make transactions more effortless and efficient for all Tertiary Education Department students. The president of the CSSG Organization expressed his gratitude and acknowledged the efforts of Vice President Roberto Jr Pelaez Tacbobo, describing him as the "mastermind behind this technology-based project." Tacbobo, a BSED Science major, developed this unique QR Code system entirely on his own within just one month using Google Workspace. CSSG- President Jhoan Gabriel Dalumpinesstated in his Facebook post, “Credits to our very own DCC-CSSG Vice President Roberto Jr Pelaez Tacbobo, the mastermind behind this technology based project. Trivia: This was his very own project and made this all by himself, crafted just in the Google workspace for just a month. It is unique to see how a BSED Science major was able to craft this project without general knowledge on coding. He worked day and night, required no assistance after all. This not just a skill but a unique talent. Always proud of you Tacks!#BastaTackyTechy “

The implementation of QR codes in educational institutions is not a new concept.Various methods for implementing QR codes in the educational process have been explored and documented. According to a study conducted by the School of Electrical Engineering in Zagreb, QR codes have been found to support both independent and collaborative learning, creating an interactive learning environment. The integration of QR codes in the educational process has shown promising results. The transactions within the DCC campus can now be done seamlessly and efficiently through the use of QR codes. With the DCC-QR Code, students can now easily access important information and perform various tasks such as registration, payments, attendance, and CSSG- related activities. The CSSG SQUARED represents a significant step forward for the TED communityq, promoting a more convenient and efficient system for students. This student-driven initiative demonstrates the power of innovation and the potential for young minds to revolutionize their academic environment.
